Very Early style external tachometer wiring help anyone???

So I just got this super cool accessory Volvo Tach on e-bay. It has five wires coming out of it. Three are obvious, one is a hot, one is a ground, and one is hot for the light. The other two wires are both longer and I'm assuming go to the coil. But I am assuming, and which side of the coil, and do they go on different sides? And if so does it matter which?

Anybody know if there is a diagram for this in one of the older schematics?
Anyone have one of these tachs and know where to hook it up?
