front brakes ..sticky calipers? 700 1991

Replaced front rotors and front pads. After driving a couple miles I noticed after stopping and shutting down the smell of hot brakes , particularly from the right side. The difference in temperature "feel" was noticeable the right side being hotter. A couple hours after driving again I noticed after arriving that there was'nt a significant difference in temperature between the left and right even though there was still the scent of "hot Brakes". The temp. then was much cooler than before. I jacked up the fron of the car a turned both wheels forcefully with my hands and I got pretty much three quarters to a full turn out of each associated with the frictional sound of the pads against the rotors. Can this be considerd normal? I cannot remember that I experienced these symptoms 4 years ago when I did the same job..Also Ive noticed that there is a slight shimmy of the front end that was not there before. Did the front rotors warp?. So what are the tell tale signs of a sticky reotors? I did not have signs of heating/ stickiness?? prior to the new rotor and pad change. Any suggestions????
