K-jet fuel accumulator 700 1989

I am going to replace my fuel accumulator on my 89 740 with B230E (k-jet system). Looking at it I believe it is leaking. (And what is that screw anyway??) The leak is on the side opposite to where the 2 hoses connect to the fuel accumulator. There's another photo of the accumulator showing the connections in the gallery but I can't find a way to load 2 images in this post.

This will be my first time replacing it. Hopefully it'll cure my hard warm start. Any tips or advice before I tackle this? Can I expect to be sprayed with a lot of fuel from it?

Thanks as always.
