Belt squeal related to flickering lights? 700 1987

Hi folks,

I'm tracking down the cause for some flickering headlights - and reading the recent post in the 200 forum, I am wondering if a little bit of belt squeak is related - if it's the alt belt.

I hadn't given the squeak much thought because I'm changing the belts soon (and have new belts in the trunk!). Waiting on my paycheck so I can get the timing belt kit and pulley tool.

To rule this out, where are the engine grounds that I need to check on a 740GLE? Also, should I nab a voltage regulator in my next big order from FCP Groton?

The rubber accessory mount bushings on the alternator are in need of replacement. Is this an indicator of alternator wear?

Thanks!

Ari
