Rotor sizes and smoking at idle 200 1983

When I'm not laying uder a Volvo, or under my house wrestlimg with the maze, that is the plumbing in my 73 year old home. I play in a blues band, knockin around L.A.
The guy who claims responsibility for us has taught me about as much about music as this place has about Volvos. So when his car has a seizure, he calls me. Understand, this guy may be a genius, but if his car were a horse you'd be thinking about glue. It's just never been maintained, and he is death with a wrench in his hand, or a hammer for that matter.
So I did brakes a while back and told him he was going to be needing new rotors
So he calls me this afternoon while I was fighting with an assortmetn of cranky house plumbing and deciding if I wanted buy a new water heater or if maybe heating stones would be cheaper. I need a pair of rotors for an 83 245 Turbo, vented rotors. I've read about as many posts as I can stand and am still not sure if turbo rotors are different or not.\
Knowing that w/o having to go to his house and wrestle the rotor off in his short wannabe mountainside of a driveway. Then go to my pick a part for some good used (i don't mind working for free but the less it costs me the more I can do) would make my life a lot more pleasant.
The he says oh and it's smokin like heck when it's idling but o.k. when its on the raod. I'm thinking it's flame trap but given my luck it's proabably a nest of vampire bats.\
Feed back would be much appreciated.
Paul
