Throttle body related stuff 700 1987

Hi guys,

I'm trying to reset my TPS on my 740GLE. While poking around there (and going nowhere) I found a LOT of slack in my throttle cable - but none in my kickdown (?) cable. Also, my throttle rod (the thing that holds on to the round ends between the TB and the throttle cable disc) doesn't pull the throttle body spring until rotated about 10 degrees - and no part I've mentioned is under tension when at rest.

My question is: where do I start first, and how do I do it?

Thanks!

Ari
