90 240 3rd row seating

AS far as I know all 245's could be equipped with the third row seats.

I sold the one from my 1983 245 to a family with two small kids. We parked the two 245s side by side and swapped parts. I had the Volvo instructions on how to install one, which helped a lot. Doing it that was saved a lot of time, as we just traded the cargo area floor boards instead of removing the seat back and attaching it to the othercar.

Finding a third row seat can be difficult. I would suggest searching eBay, in the Volvo 240 Parts section and the in Volvo Parts Cars section.

There are some disassemblers, too. Strandberg, near Chicago, is one I can think of, and there are some in California, too.

Run an Parts wanted to buy - WTB - in the "Classified" section hre, and maybe on a Craigslist, too.

Good Luck,

Bob

PS, a lot of the things that the "donee" 245 wold have needed from the factory, like seat belt anchor nuts and the anchors for the hand grip that goes at the top of the cargo door opening were already there, just out of sight.

Having two people made the job easier.
