New meat and alloy on all four corners 120-130 1965

Hey, All. I'm thinking about replacing the factory wheels and tires on my '65 122 wagon with some 16" x 7" Superlites with 25mm offset (same offset as the 15x6 Superlite size commonly used on 122s) and 225/60-16 tires. The original spec tires for the wagons are 185R15 which are approximately 26.25" diameter. The 225/60-16 tires are approximately 26.6" diameter, and they are approximately 1.6" wider than the 185s. I'm going for the 'fill the wheel well' look, as much as possible, without experiencing any bumping or rubbing in the wells. And I don't want extremely low profile tires. The car is on factory springs right now, and I may in the future do the 1" lowering springs. I drive the car conservately to moderately - no slamming into turns at high speeds or anything like that. I'm not worried about the tire diameter, but I am worried about the tire diameter combined with the increased width.

Any input?

Thanks!

Deluxe
