Throttle body question 700 1987

Hi folks,

Since last time I cleaned my (scary) throttle body, I didn't have the right cleaner, I took it off again this evening to clean the last 10 percent or so of coking off its innards using a aerosol can of the right stuff.

Looking at the TB against the sky, after cleaning, there is still a line at the top and bottom where light leaks through. This is less than a hair's width, though.

Is this OK?

Also, I think I got some gunk out of the TB vacuum holes. I never was able to get them clean, using a wire, the first time. I'll be interested to see how she runs tomorrow (60 highway miles first thing in the morn).

As I prepared to adjust the TPS, I found that it was within bounds already - so I left it.

Thanks,

Ari
