How I wish the 740 has a height adjustable steering column 700 1989

I had to put in a new steering wheel because the old one's disintegrating and is beginning to look very drab. I bought a used conservative black leather Momo ricer type steering wheel that feels really nice. Problem is, new the wheel is considerably smaller than the original. I am pretty happy with my sitting position - a safe and reactive posture - but the view of the speedometer and other instruments is now blocked! Drats. Wish I could adjust the wheel about an inch and a half higher. I've tried sitting lower but I just couldn't get used to it.

Just whingeing.
