All you need is a sealed fuse holder, an off the shelf 30 or 40 amp relay, a fuse of the recommended current rating (should be called out on the lights) and some wire. Run a at least 18 gauge wire right off the Plus battery term through the fuse holder and to the contact side of the relay. Run the other side from the relay to the bulbs by the recommended wiring. Run a 18 gauge ground wire and tie it into your bulbs by the diagram. Connect the ground to either the head lights or engine block ground. Suggest putting the ground side of the relay coil to the same spot. You should only need a 22 or 24 gauge wire for the relay coil ground wire.
Get the voltage to pull in the coil from one of two places depending on how artistic you want to get.
You can use the rear fog light switch, when you flip the rear fog switch that sends out 12 volts right to the rear bulbs. Does not use the bulb sensor and using that 12 volts to pull in your relay coil will have zero affect on the rear fogs. Make sure you use the switched side of the contact by checking it with a VOM before you make the cut and splice. Run the new wire out the fire wall seal and out to your relay coil and you should be good to go. Works like a champ and you only have one switch. This is what I used for a year or so, and no problems at all.
Other option (and I now use this one now since finding the switch) is to find a fog light rocker switch of a later model car and hook that up to 12 volts. It pops right into the center consolde and lights up when you turn the lights on. Still use the old switch for the rear fogs if you want to (I do). Be sure you use a switched voltage so the lights go out when the key is turned off.
Good Luck,
Paul
