ICU connector sleeves 200 1986

I'm sending a spare ICU I have, to the mechanic that is working on my sister's Volvo. I noticed the sleeves I had heard about, that are installed over some of the male pins on the ICU itself.

I gather from another thread, that the sleeves were only ever installed on 3 of the ICU pins. Can someone confirm this?

Does anyone know when Volvo started delivering cars with these sleeves installed? I'd like to know before this mechanic attempts to test with this spare unit. Otherwise, if the '86 car doesn't have the sleeves on the original ICU, after a substitute test with this spare, the female pins on the harness connector will be splayed too far apart, and then the original ICU won't contact correctly.
