Midsommar Volvo Meet in Lindsborg, Kansas

About a month ago Susie and I spent a couple days at Lindsborg scoping out a routing for the scenic road rally for the Midsommar Volvo Meet in "Little Sweden". Check out the half-page ad in the current Rolling Mag.

Two days this week I went back up and met Scott Peper to make some more contacts and finalize the routing. Because of the (mostly) flat terrain it will be a little different from the ones near Kansas City but should still pose quite a challenge. On the way up, between Wichita and Lindsborg, I saw a 122 (220) wagon, shiny, white and rapidly heading for Wichita. First one I had seen on the road in some time and it looked GREAT!

If you have not considered this meet, check it out on the VCOA website. Registration is cheap ($20/car) and there will be LOTS of fun cultural and gastronomic experiences to be had. It is WELL PAST TIME for a Swedish car show in Little Sweden!!

BTW there is no place of any size more centrally located in the contiguous states than Lindsborg! It is even more in the middle than Bartlesville.
It is about 15 miles south of Salina, Kansas, which is where I-70 meets I-135
(the extension of I=35 straight north of Wichita).
