1966 122s Engine Type? 120-130

You have a left hand steered 1966 P130 in 122S edition for the US market. For type designation breakdown, chassisnumbers, engine numbers and types, etc. please refer to http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se (click on Production).

The original engine in your car is a B18D (the B18A was not available on US cars and the B18B came in 1967 on the 123GT and in 1968 on the 122S). The ignition setting on the 95-100hp B18D is 17-19 degrees BTDC (earlier 90hp B18D have 22-24 BTDC).

Brgds,

Fredrik
