Odometer works; no speedometer 700 1991

I know that this is not an answer to what you asked, but it is good to know anyway. I went through a year with no speedo. I avoided tickets by using the tach.

Not an exact thing at all, but decent guess-timates:

55 = 2,000 rpm on a flat road
70 = 2,750 rpm on a flat road

I know this is not what you asked about, but again, it is nice to know how fast you are going when your speedo dies. Sorry to get you excited to see a response to your question only to find that the response has nothing to do with what you need to know.

Oh, well. I hope you get the info you are after. Good luck, Bonzo.
