'points dizzy' 120-130 1968

"I swapped in my points dizzy. The car would not start with the points dizzy either (yes I wired up the condenser)"

My 2 cents. You may have read this before. If so my apologies. I don't know which points distributor you've got - If the bolt connecting the points, condenser and wire to coil are not isolated from the distributor body, (SHORT to ground) you will have not spark. Rare, yes. Check that the bolt is centered in the hole (fiber locater) and that the points aren't coming in contact with the distributor body (originally a thick paper isolator was present.)

If it were me, I'd get the points dizzy to work, sort out your mileage problem, and then, if not satisfied (I mostly am) switch to yer electronic setup. [I should divulge that I have an as yet uninstalled '75 B20 distributor waiting to in the wings as well.]
