Intermittant start problem, 88 760GLE 700 1988

Guys
About to give up on this one. Car, 88 760GLE w/B280 V-6 (LH Jetronic) has intermittant start issue. Occasionally when key turned to run the green fuel pump relay buzzes and car has difficulty starting. Sometimes when driving the relay buzzes and car dies, sometimes no buzzing occurs and car wont start or dies. Voltage at realy seems good so; 1. replaced in tank pump recently 2. Replaced fuel filter recently 3. Replaced green fuel pump relay 4. cleaned all contacts at relay block 5. Both old and new relay behave the same and both get warm in operation, also J relay (power window/bypass) gets warm/hot. Research indicates this may be normal. 6. Code 2 appears, temp sensor when tested.
Failure has symptoms of fuel pump failure, yet jumping terminals at relay block yields good pump operation.
I appreciate any help any help you all can give me.
Thanks
Jim A
