Transmission or OD Problem? 120-130

My OD functions, but only the first time that it is engaged. After it is disengaged, It appears not to engage again. However, the Tac seems to show that the OD is still engaged as the RPMs in forth gear are what they would be in OD.......if the OD was engaged.

The local Volvo dealer believes the problem is that I've been using motor oil in the transmission/OD as Volvo originally recommended rather than the new transmission fluid that Volvo has developed for transmissions with OD. OK, today, we changed the transmission/OD oil, to the new Volvo "Cherry Juice". No change!!!

In addition, when I shift down to second gear and accelerate, the car studders a bit and then "shifts". It is a bit hard to describe, but it is very much like it is shifting from forth into OD except it is in second gear!!!

I think I have a transmission problem plus an OD magneto problem. What do you think?
