Intermittent, but not fully random 120-130 1968

What I've noticed is that it occurs about 20-25 minutes into my commute most often, usually near the same intersection - usually when the car is pointing nose-down.

I've found that the stall is sometimes proceeded by a "misfiring" feeling under load, and is always followed by a few minutes of smooth cranking, but no fire.

I've yet to be able to reproduce the failure mode by bending wires or idling the car for any length of time.

My prime point of submission is the wire from the coil + to the ignition switch.
If I could just get the problem to reproduce in my driveway instead on the street at 5:30 AM, I'd be able to pin it down and fix it.
