I use the heck out of my engine compartment light. When I first got Inga she was pretty dark inside and out. One of the first lights I fixed was that one and if my car did not have one, I would do exactly what you are doing now. Putting one in. On a cold dark AM when your faithful old girl suddenly dies and drifts of to the side of the road. Sure nice to pop up that hood and be able to see things.
