Vibration hunting...! 700 1987

Hi folks,

Still trying to track down that driveline vibration I've been complaining about. I am about to start replacing more things, and wanted some advice on where to start.

I think my symptoms closely resemble past posts about vacuum leaks. This vibration seems to manifest as a misfire or engine strain at 50%+ throttle on the highway - and a vacuum leak WOULD cause a misfire condition in a heavy load situation, right? My engine has a severe loss of power when this happens. Not OK in crazy traffic.

What vacuum hoses would be suspect in a B230F 740GLE?

I have a quiet sucking sound from inside my dash that I haven't addressed yet. How large a leak would be required to create a misfire like this?

Other than that, I'm hunting things like fuel filters and ignition components.

Thanks,

Ari
