TRANSMISSIONS HELP 900 1995

I recently had my kick down cable replaced and trans flushed on my '95 945. The old girl is at 175k and runs like new, but after the flush there was a problem. When driving with cold trans fluid, it wants to stay in 2nd gear; sluggish, won't downshift, etc. Once it warms up, or you shift manually for a few minutes, everything is fine. It shifts crisply and pulls great. My mechanic, who has a great record with all things Volvo, picked up the car and flushed it again. Same problem, but they couldn't find anything wrong. They think some "sludge" may have come loose with the flushing and clears up once things warm up. The only recommendation they have is to drive it for awhile and see if it clears.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any recommendations.

I can drive it like this, and I doesn't feel like we need a new trans. . . not yet.

Thanks
