Just bought a parts 245... help on motor swap 200

So I just picked up a parts 85' 245 (for only $140!) with a B230F (in great shape) mated to the automatic/OD tranny. I cannot register this car in CA due to smog issues and title issues. I would like to transfer this motor into a donor car with the M46 or M47.

My question is this... Which years should I be looking for other than '85? It must be older than '85 in CA to qualify for a motor swap, just FYI.

Thanks in advance,
Phil
