No step by step unless you have volvo workshop manuals. Heres a few tips,im sure othe guys will have tons of help for you
1) DRAIN ENGINE BLOCK AND RADIATOR.
2)REMOVE RADIATOR AND WATER PUMP FAN,sometimes it gets in the way.
3)REMOVE FRONT MOTOR MOUNTS TOP OR BOTTOM
4) DISCONNECT CARB LINKS,TEMP GAUGE SENDER AND HEATER HOSES.
5) DISCONNECT GENERATOR WIRES AND STARTER WIRES
6) THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1 REMOVE BATTERY
7)REMOVE GEARSHIFT LEVER FROM TOP.YOU WILL LIFT ENGINE AND TRANS OUT AS ONE UNIT.
8) DISCONNECT DRIVESHAFT AT REAR TRANS FLANGE.
9) REMOVE THE HOOD,
10) disconnect rear motor mount. Good idea TO HAVE A FLOOR JACK UNDER THE TRANS AT THIS TIME.
11) HOOK UP YOUR CHERRY PICKER LIFT CHAIN TO CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS. SOME PEOPLE USE THE ROCKER SHAFT BOLTS.
12) as you begin to lift the engine up it should tilt to the rear.have two people during this procedure
13) TO CLEAR THE FRONT SECTION SHE HAS TO COME UP QUITE HIGH,AS THE FRONT CLEARS THE FRONT SECTION YOUR HELPER CAN LEVEL THE ENGINE AS YOU PULL THE CHERRY PICKER FORWARD.
HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE. I REMOVED MY FRT SECTION WHEN I PULLED MY 210 B18.IM SURE I FORGOT SOMETHING. BE CAREFUL AND HAVE FUN,TAKE IT SLOW.
