Also disconect exhaust, you can leave the manifold/carbs on the engine or take manifold off engine and leave connected to exhaust or take the lot off, this can save a lot of damage and makes things easier
Its no big deal to take off the generator so I do that too.
Disconnect the driveshaft, you need a 12mm and 11mm spanner.
Remove earth strap.
Remove clutch linkage,
I use a strap around te bottom of the motor, easier to get weight distribution right
