Asking the experts. Brief cutout at about 3/4 throttle. 200

Once again time to ask the experts! My 1982 240 cuts out (kind of a short single buck) at 1/2 to full throttle when accelerating from a stop. It seems like it only happens when I'm below 1/2 tank of gas. My main fuel pump failed about 5k ago and I replaced it with a Bosch. Now since my problem seems to always happen when the fuel is below 1/2 tank I'm wondering if the booster fuel pump is going bad. Am I looking in the wrong direction possibly electrical? Is there anything else that should be looking at or any trouble shooting tips?

As always thanks for the help. Without you guys my 240 would probably have been relegated to the junk yard a couple of times!!
