Support arm/suspension arm big bush 120-130

Hello all,

Does anyone have the magic formula for getting the large rubber bushes into the rear suspension arms?
I have got the late arms, which are waisted, which makes things harder, as I have to get the wide part of the bush past the narrow waist. My mechanic cannot do it with a very large press, he says they twist
and will not go in. I have spent considerable time rewelding/cleaning up the arms ready for the bushes and am reluctant to give up and buy new arms with bushes already in, not least because they are so expensive.
My mechanic said using soap/grease just makes things worse....but there must be a way...
Here is the bush:

Thanks for any help, always appreciated.
