No, they are NOT!!

There are at least three types for OHC engines:

Flat, which fits 74-75 B20 (8 bolt crank) B21, B23, B230 up to and including 88, B230FT up to and including 89.

Stepped, type I, fits Bosch injected B230F 89 and up, FT 90 and up.

Stepped, type II, different number of holes around the edge, for Rex/Regina (740/940 only)

To answer Wren's original question, which flywheel to use depends on the year of the two cars. Your best plan would be to take the lower bellhousing brace off of both cars (if they aren't apart already) and determine exactly what you have, then figure out what you will need to get it to work.

I did the opposite conversion---90 M46 in place of an AW70 in an 88 745. I had to find a flat flywheel, and IPD had a suitable clutch for this combination.
