On an 89 240, is the service light indepedent of the odometer? Mine just started coming on, despite the fact that the odometer hasn't worked since I bought the car two months ago. (The speedometer works normally.)

Also, how do I reset it? There isn't a button on the front, with a rubber plug, like on a 740, so I assume it is necessary to reach up behind the instrument panel.
