strut nut tool 200 1992

You cannot get the four bolts for the ball joint to strut anchor from the dealer. I tried three separate Volvo dealers. Two out of state.

No Sears hardware has anything close to this. Sorry I didn't write specific shear strength down for later reference... but I got four new bolts from a big fasteners supply company. Take the old one in.

The second time I did it I reused the four bolts. Clean them up, use blue or red locktite. Upon my research, two Volvo specific shops in my city said they do exactly that. Do yours have minor surface rust or flaking ugliness? If the former, reuse them.

Check your tie rod end's (inner and outer) for play too and your power steering pump for leaks and good operation.

The harbor freight offset set (like 9 bucks) is the way to go. Grind as recommended.
