ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THIS IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thirty-two years ago I worked with an elderly Latvian man. Art retired in the fall of 1976 from Hyster Corporation, and he was in his 60s then. He lived in Latvia when the Soviets took it over. Art had also been in occupied Germany, and worked for the US then. I remember him telling about the cars converted to work on wood smoke just after WW II when petroleum products weren't to be found in that part of the world.
