67 144 Rear Control Arms........ 140-160 1967

Hello,

Well, I happened upon a problem with me 67 144 project. The left rear control arm is bent and cracked (I don't know HOW I overlooked this before). I have a question, though. I have been having a lot of trouble finding certain parts for the rear end of this car (such as the control arms, coil springs, and emergency brake parts) and thought that maybe I wuold try swapping in an entire rear axle assembly from a 240. I know a guy who has a few junked 240s and I could easily get the parts to do it. I guess my question is can this work? I was thinking that the brake parts would be much easier to deal with and possibly the srings, &c.

Any thoughts???

Thanks.
