OK, the rear shelf has me confused. Can you help me get it out? 200 1993

I'm trying to get up the rear deck/shelf, both to check out replacement speakers (stock, 16 years old), and to see if anything is growing there (it could just be a stain that didn't get cleaned up around the edges, but...), and I can't figure out how to do it. As far as I can tell, the Haynes and Bentley books both ignore these details (I mean, who needs to waste pages talking about parts of the *engine*? :)).

What I see in my way:
1. Seatbelt retractors. Not a big deal, and not greatly in my way.

2. Third brake light cover. The cover is cracked in several places, and refuses to come off. All instructions just show a little grabbing on the sides, and prying on the bottom. Ain't working. I'm not sure if I need to get it off. Even if I don't need to, it would be nice to know how to (like maybe a picture of the inside of one that's been removed)

3. headrests. The plastic around their bases is turning to dust, but is still flexible enough to resist a screwdriver prying on it. I cannot move them.

4. Trunk vents. They will move just fine, but I don't want to use them to get anywhere, because they are crumbling, as well (but they still look good, so I want to leave them as un-stressed as possible).

5. Plugs. One broken, one left in (on the opposite side that I'm trying to work on), one came out OK.
