9 months in storage, what to check? 200 1987

Well everyone, I've been gone since August, and it's good to be back! I moved from WV to CO with work, and had to leave in such a hurry that I just left the Volvo in storage near my parents' house. I planned to drive it here last fall, and would have felt completely comfortable doing just that. Put it outside under a cover for 9 months, and it's a different story. So onto the truck it went, and a week and a half later it's here in Denver.

So here's my question. It doesn't feel as "together" as it did before. It has a bit more side-side motion that I remember, it shakes a bit more than I remember, the brakes vibrate like hell, and it's got that old-car-in-storage smell to it. I'm planning on giving it a once over of my own, then taking it to a shop I used to frequent when I lived here for some additional work.

What should I be looking for? Does brake-shake usually burn off after driving? Is there anything other than airing the car out that gets rid of the storage stank?
