'93 240 wagon for son's first car 200 1993

I'm in Charlottesville and 240s are everywhere, but I rarely see them for sale. Whenever I stop by the dealer to look at new cars, head of sales tells how people are always coming by looking for 240s. He has a late 70s 240. Edgecombs is online and is a used Volvo specialist. Considered reputable in the area, though I generally avoid any car which might have been at an auction (IMHO, good, well maintained bricks trade locally). As far as that Volvo with leather, I would seriously doubt it's leather. Almost every time I see leather advertised, it turns out to be Volvo vinyl ("leatherette"). Besides, leather from that era was not so hot and would be dried and in shreds by now. I would be very wary of Craigslist or ebay. A good source might be looking for reputable indy Volvo shops and see if customers have any for sale on a BB. Good mechanics don't like to see problems peddled out of their shops, and while may not be perfect, will often get full disclosure.
