Putting M46 with a B280? Possible? 700

Hi folks,

Well, I am just starting the process of rebuilding my 780, injured by a collapsing storage facility.

Since I have to work it all out, replacing fenders, hood, trunk, and having it repainted, I was wondering about the possibility of having a M46 tranny transplant. My engine is a very smooth, well maintained B280 (the Prv-6). I would hate to pull that engine out, as its only 166 000km, runs well... and puts a little charm on the car. But its not very fun to drive, especially in town, reason why I figured a manual tranny would help the driving.

Is that at all possible or are the obstacles too big (bell housing for instance). I dont want the project to turn into a money pit either.

Thanks for your advice.
