88 240 DL Wagon turn signals - flasher? 200 1988

I have an 88 240 DL wagon with 350k+ miles and the turn signals have gone wacky. The right blinker is fast and faint, left is fine.

The wires through the tailgate hinges have been replaced and still look good. All bulbs have been replaced with new from the same maker and fuses are in good shape. No shorts are obvious.

If it was an older American car I'd go buy a flasher unit.

Suggestions? Thanks - Van
