Distributor cap, rotor 700 1987

Hi folks,

I've been busy with my new job these past weeks, but I've got the weekend to play with "Sweetie," my 1987 Volvo 740GLE. I'm doing some assorted heat-shield rattle tracking-downing, and changing the distributor cap and rotor.

After Tim R's experience with a piece of rotor getting lodged in the hall sensor, I'm scared! I'll try wrapping the rotor in a sandwich bag as I pull it off - maybe that will catch the crumbs. What do you all think?

I've noticed that my fuel mileage isn't wonderful (not bad... 19 in the city?). Next on my list: vacuum hoses replacement!

Ari
