I found the source of my rattle, but have no idea how to fix it.... 700 1987

Hi,

Every bracket that I've seen recently had two large (19mm Head) bolts that clamped the bracket to the engine/transmission and the engine/transmission together as well.

If your two bolts are missing, that would explain the problem.

If the area is pretty greasy and dark, spray it off at the car-wash with the pressure sprayer, that trick works pretty well. Sometimes though, pointing the wand at what you want under the car can be difficult.

If you are still unsure if there are missing parts, it might be best to post a picture (a pain, I know).

Good Luck!!
