Heater control valve 200 1992

My car is blowing warm/hot air with the heater shut off. I can see the circular type heater control valve. Are there any adjustments possible on this type valve? If so, how do you access it?
I have an '88 240 for parts. It has a different type of valve. Could I take that and install it in my '92 or should I buy a new ScanTech from FCP?
