How do I remove the front cross member? 200

Hi all,

Having lots of trouble trying to remove my front control arms due to the front bushings being rusted to the bolts. I've tried everything except heat so far, and just thought of an idea that might give me more space to hammer on the bolts & apply some heat (without worrying about catching all my leaky fluids on fire under the car) - remove the crossmember that the seized bolts go through. What I'm wondering is the procedure of removing the crossmember (my Bentley doesn't go into detail much on this that I can find), and what else should I fix while doing this? Any thing I should worry about as well?

Thanks in advance.
cton.
