Help: ODO failure, replaced gears, speedo fine, still no ODO or Trip movement 200 1987

Ok, so if I had just given up days ago this would not have been so big a deal, but now that I've come this far and tried this much, I want to get it.

ODO failed, no big deal, pulled it, broken small 25 tooth one, ordered gears, replaced, nothing. Speedo still fine, everything else on instrument cluster fine. Figured motor was bad. Went to Volvo pick n' pull here in Tullahoma, TN got two more speedo heads same K=042, checked all their gears and replaced, speedo's work fine on all, still nothing for ODO with either one.

Likely, the problem with the ODO then is not with the heads then. Where do I go next?
