I agree with George, you should be getting more... I have driven my '65 two-door automatic for about the last 200k miles and I normally get between 20 & 22mpg. That is some highway and some around town driving. I run stock b18, original style distributor and standard SU's that are kept fairly well tuned and have been rebuilt two or three times in that 200,000 miles.
