Best possible MPG for automatic??? 120-130 1966

A couple of Dutch friends came over to the UK last weekend from Friday to Monday. I spent a day with them visiting a car show. Cruising speeds 65-70 when I was with them and that's their usual cruising pace. Week end included some country roads and he emailed the following to me today,

"In total the P220 did 1473 km and the fuel consumption was 1 liter to
10.7 km. That's not bad for the old lady, is it?"

This converts to 25.17mpg US. Car is a 1966 Amazon wagon with BW35 190k miles, it's ex New York and the engine is untouched except for new timing gears and a conversion back to a single Stromberg. Gearbox is a later BW35 from a 144 which has fittings for an oil cooler which has been added to the rad. It's towed a caravan qute a few miles around Europe.
So 25mpg for mixed motoring with a good proportion of steady cruising. Sounds good to me.
