HELP!! OD broken wire? 120-130

i fixed it! i can't freaking believe it! i just tore the rubber cover off of it and lo and behold there was enough wire sticking out to get a butt-end connector on it and wala! i'm back in business. now i just gotta quit using this old girl as a truck out in the boonies; it might have 456 gears but it doesn't sit high enough to clear some of the brush i've been beating her through.
man i need to find a different set of rear springs!
thanx to everyone who responded.
