First-timer tranny flush...! 700 1987

For future reference : I always make sure tranny fluid is at correct level before I even start flush procedure. Check after idling a minute or so and after slowly going thru all gears while idling/parked. Check after pulling dipstick out & wiping clean and then re-inserting. Anyway Bottle I am flushing used/bad fluid into I mark in 1/2 quart increments. Amount of old/bad fluid that goes out gets replaced by exact same amount of new/fresh fluid going in. As my bottle is but 1x gallon I find I have to turn off car a couple of times. Hope this helps.
