Tranny slipping! Scary! 700 1987

Hi folks,

During my test drive after my flush, my slipping sound (a high-pitched chitter) that precedes shifting gears was still there. I got some Lucas oil for my tranny and put it in, and it's actually helped a little, but the slipping is still present.

I'm sad and frustrated, but since this problem seems in its beginning stages, I hope I have some time before my transmission totally fails. I think it's been there since I had the car, but I didn't know what it was (and the other rattles were louder).

If you guys have any suggestions on how to preserve my transmission or help its condition, I'd appreciate it. Right now I don't have any severe slipping, just a chitter that's associated with a delayed shift. The chitter also manifests when I give it moderate throttle.

Thanks!

Ari
