How much brake pedal travel on non ABS cars? 200

Just replaced all brakes (F&R, new rotors, pads, etc.) on wife's '90 sedan at 230k. Had a seized caliper on left front, so I ripped one off my parts car (PITA with seized line connections) and fixed that as well. I bled the system with my power bleeder using ATE Super Blue race fluid (when it comes through blue, its new!)

Went for a test drive. The brakes appear to work fine. Brake pedal is firm and does not sink, but appears to require less effort to apply brakes (this could be a good thing for wife). Modulation of braking force appears to be improved. I measured pedal travel at about 2.5" under full braking. Is this normal? It "felt" a little excessive to me, but then, we had been driving the car with a seized caliper! I then compared to my '92 wagon (ABS system) where the brakes feel slightly "harder and higher". The pedal travel is about the same (within .25 inches).

When I did the brake job, I used a different brand of anti-squeal shim and grease on the front pads. I cleaned and lubed the pad contact surfaces in the calipers. I also replaced and lubed all of the pad hardware, which should help things move a little better. Could this have anything to do with it? Also, it had occurred to me that the vacuum booster on this car might work better than on my '92 at 287k.

I am reluctant to re-bleed unless this 2.5" of pedal travel seems out of spec to anyone.
