help! 740 starts for 1 minute, dies, then no start--regina system 700 1990

hello,
my brother has a 1990 740 nonturbo with a regina system. i drive 240s and i know the system well. but this system is new to me.



problem.
car starts, idles for about a minute or two. dies. when recranked, almost starts, then engine just turns.

i replaced the fuel pump about 1 month back, it needed it, and the car ran fine for about 3 weeks.

now, it's going bad again.

it is getting spark, i am sure that it's getting fuel to the injectors.

i checked the archives, but i didn't find exactly my problem.

anybody had this problem? all help very much appreciated!
