1983-84 ECU Failures, B23F Engine 200 1983

The electronic control unit (ECU) for the fuel injection system failed last week. The spare was installed and it failed yesterday. Does anybody have any ideas on what is causing the failure? There is definitely something flakey with the electrical system because there is 12 volts at the ignition coil with the key in the “off” position and the oil pressure light is “on” with the key off. I unplugged the connector on the back of the key switch and nothing changes. I also unplugged the main relay and fuel pump relay and nothing changes. Somehow, voltage is feeding back to the ECU and killing it. jp
